Vitaloop Review
Overview
Often times filter bottles are a pain to use. Straw filters can require more suction to work properly. GRAYL's press-style filter works well, but it requires a significant amount of force to work.
Vitaloop has an interesting solution by building a battery-powered pump into the lid of the bottle. TheBy letting a pump do the work for you, many people will find this bottle is easier to use than GRAYL's press-style design (and it's also less awkward to use in public places). It also removes more impurities than straw filters like Brita's. So if you're a traveling professional, backpacker, or prepping for emergencies, this bottle is certainly worth considering. |

Vitaloop Filter Bottle FAQs
- Are Vitaloop bottles dishwasher safe? | No, Vitaloop recommends handwashing their bottles and air drying the filter.
- How do you store a Vitaloop filter? | Filters should be air dryed before being placed in storage to prevent mold.
- Are Vitaloop bottles worth it? | There are very few bottles on the market that offer the same kind of filtering power as Vitaloop's design, and the ease-of-use compared to straw filters or press-filters makes it a great choice for traveling professionals.
- Are Vitaloop bottles leak proof? | Yes, they are leak proof if properly sealed.
- Are Vitaloop bottles easy to clean? | Not compared to other bottles. There are simply more parts, and there are electronics and filters to consider.
- Are Vitaloop bottles insulated? | No, they do not have dual-wall vacuum insulation.
- Are Vitaloop bottles durable? | The bottle portion is made of Tritan plastic, which is very durable and dent resistant. The top portion feels very well designed and constructed, though anything with electronics makes us more concerned for long-term durability, especially if the bottle is accidentally dropped on its lid.
- How long do Vitaloop filters last? | Vitaloop recommends replacing the filter after 60 gallons or every 3-4 months of use. Read their FAQ here.
