Vesmoon Review

Overview

Vesmoon is one of the least-known bottles we have, but it has a lot to offer.  With more accessories included at a lower price point, this is one of the most well-rounded all-purpose bottles we've seen yet.

The built-in infuser is the most visible difference.  It's larger than Steepware's design, and the strainer also doubles as an ice-blocker.  Two lids are included, so it's easier to switch between options or test which one you like more without having to spend extra money.

Overall, this bottle has a lot of value packed into a relatively small price point.  If you're OK buying from a smaller brand, this is a great option to consider.

Why Buy?

• Good Value:  It's priced at a mid-range price point, but it includes a range of accessories and extras, making this an option with greater value than most other bottles.
• Built-in Infuser: The bottle has a built-in filter that includes a larger section to hold your tea leaves and a strainer on top.  Both unscrew from each other to make cleaning them easier.
• Ice Blocker:  The small strainer also can double as an ice-blocker.
• Two Lids: Each bottle comes with both a straw and a spout lid.  Notably, you won't be able to use the infuser or strainer with the straw lid, so keep that in mind.
• Carrying Strap: The spout lid comes with a carrying strap is something we always appreciate.  Anything that makes carrying around these bulky bottles easier is usually a good thing.

Why Avoid?

• Smaller Brand: Vesmoon is not widely-known, so if you're looking for a recognizable brand (especially as a gift), a bottle from a brand like YETI, Stanley, or Owala is generally a better option.
• Few Options: Currently there are not many size or color options available.

• Are Vesmoon bottles dishwasher safe? | Technically yes, though Vesmoon recommends handwashing to preserve the finish.
• Are Vesmoon bottles safe? | Everything we have seen indicates that Vesmoon's bottles are safe, or at least just as safe as other comparable bottles on the market.
• Are Vesmoon bottles worth it? | With more accessories included, Vesmoon is certainly worth the price point, especially if you're looking to infuse your water with fruit, tea, or other flavorings.
• Are Vesmoon bottles easy to clean? | Vesmoon bottles are relatively easy to clean, but you will likely want a brush kit to clean the bottle like the one shown below under Recommended Accessories.  Interestingly, the spout lid seal has a pull tab, but the lid seal does not.  Their FAQ says to avoid removing the lid seal when cleaning, but we generally rest easier knowing that part of the bottle is cleaned on a regular basis.
• Are Vesmoon bottles BPA-free? | Yes, text on their bottle indicates that they are BPA-free.
• Do Steepware bottles contain lead? | We have not found an official statement or test that shows whether or not Vesmoon uses a lead-based solder.  This type of seal is fairly standard across this industry outside of a few notable exceptions like Owala and Hydro Flask.  However, even if Vesmoon uses a lead-based solder, realistically there is an extremely small probablility that you would ever have an issue with lead unless your bottle was severely damaged, and in that case you would likely need a new bottle anyways because the insulation is probably lost and the bottle would be very dented and wobbly.
• Do Vesmoon bottles fit in cupholders? | No, the 32oz Vesmoon will not fit in most cup holders.  Consider getting an adapter like our BottlePro Max.  The smaller 24oz Vesmoon is more likely to fit in your cupholder, but be sure to measure yours first to make sure because all cup holders are different.
