Steepware Review
Overview
Steepware is a bottle that knows its purpose. As the name would suggest, this bottle is good for steeping and brewing loose leaf tea.
The built-in stainless steel infuser is one of the larger ones on the market (though not the largest). It's a great size for a 22oz bottle like this one, compared to a bottle like EcoVessel that has a smaller strainer and a larger bottle. If you're looking for a portable way to brew and keep your tea hot, Steepware is a great option to consider. |

Steepware FAQs
- Are Steepware bottles dishwasher safe? | Yes, top rack recommended.
- Are Steepware bottles safe? | Everything we have seen indicates that Steepware's bottles are safe, or at least just as safe as other comparable bottles on the market.
- Are Steepware bottles worth it? | They are worth it if you are planning to use it for brewing and drinking tea. They're probably too expensive for what you get if you're only looking for a bottle for water.
- Are Steepware bottles easy to clean? | Yes, the infuser pops out and easily unscrews from the strainer. You may want a brush kit to clean the bottle.
- Are Steepware bottles BPA-free? | Yes, Steepware indicates their bottles are made with BPA-free materials.bottles are made with BPA-free materials.
- Do Steepware bottles contain lead? | We have not found an official statement or test that shows whether or not Steepware uses a lead-based solder. This type of seal is fairly standard across this industry outside of a few notable exceptions like Owala and Hydro Flask. However, even if Steepware uses a lead-based solder, realistically there is an extremely small probablility that you would ever have an issue with lead unless your bottle was severely damaged, and in that case you would likely need a new bottle anyways because the insulation is probably lost and the bottle would be very dented and wobbly.
- Do Steepware bottles fit in cupholders? | Yes, the 22oz Steepware will fit in the majority of cupholders, but be sure to measure yours first to make sure because all cup holders are different.
