Stanley ProTour Review
Overview
ProTour's main achievement is correcting the two most glaring issues with Stanley's Quencher and IceFlow bottles that came before it.
The Quencher bottle famously leaks, but ProTour's flip-up lid is completely leak-free. And IceFlow is leak-free too, but the spout is very difficult to clean around. ProTour solves this cleaning issue by making the spout removable so you can more easily clean every surface of the lid. Aside from that, ProTour has a lot of similarities with Quencher because they use the same bottle body and handle shape. But by having a leak-free lid that's easier to clean, ProTour is certainly worth considering. |

Stanley ProTour FAQs
- Are Stanley ProTours dishwasher safe? | Yes, though the lid should go in the top rack or utensil tray.
- Are Stanley ProTours leak-proof? | Yes, ProTour bottles are leak-proof. Just make sure the seals are correctly installed and the spout is completely closed when not in use.
- Are Stanley ProTours worth it? | Yes, they are very good, reliable bottles. ProTour solves the two biggest problems from Quencher (leaks) and IceFlow (harder to clean) by having a leak-free lid and a removable spout.
- Are Stanley ProTours safe to use? | Everything we've seen indicates that Stanley bottles are safe to use. They are made of food-grade stainless steel and food-safe plastic for the lids and straws.
- Are Stanley ProTours BPA-free? | Yes, Stanley bottles are made of stainless steel and food-safe plastic, both of which are BPA-free.
- Are Stanley ProTours lead-free? | No, Stanley bottles use a lead-based solder to seal the vacuum. The solder is located on the bottom of the bottle, and it is only exposed and potentially dangerous if your bottle has extreme damage (and in that case you probably need a new bottle anyways).

Recommended Accessories
Bottle Brush Kit
Great for your regular cleaning every 2-4 days.
This kit includes a large brush to clean in the bottle, a detailing brush to clean the threads and lid, a straw cleaner, and hangers so you can stay organized. |
Cleaning Tablets
Recommended to use these once per month.
In additional to regular weekly cleaning, deep-cleaning your bottle once per month is usually a good idea to prevent germs and buildup, especially around seals. |
Bottle Boot
Great for protecting your bottle.
Big bottles are expensive, heavy, and made of steel. That combination of factors often leads to dents on the bottom, but boots help significantly reduce damage. |
And Just for Fun (and Better Tasting Water)
Fruit Infuser
As a bonus, check out our FlavorFuze Pod drop-in fruit infuser to make your water fun! Skip the soda or flavor pods with artificial sweeteners (like Cirkul) and add healthy flavors with natural fruit each day. The pod is easy to remove when you're done thanks to a big handle on top, making for a healthy mid-day snack.
It comes with two lids. One is a splash-guard style lid that fits in wide mouth Hydro Flasks, and the other is a drop-in style lid that fits in nearly all wide mouth bottles (including Owala FreeSips, YETI Ramblers, Stanley Quenchers, Hydro Flasks, and many more). |
