Stanley IceFlow Review
Overview
While not as viral as the Quencher, Stanley's IceFlow bottle has a few features that make it worth considering as your hydration companion.
Most importantly, IceFlow solves the biggest problem with their viral Quencher tumbler by making the lid leak-proof. And while convenient, Quencher's large side-mounted handle makes the tumbler much bulkier. But IceFlow's top-mounted handle rotates, making it a lower-profile bottle that's not nearly as cumbersome. The main drawback with IceFlow is with cleaning because the spout is difficult if not impossible to remove without damaging how it connects to the lid. Instead, you'll rely on soaking the lid and using small brushes to clean it the best you can. |

Stanley IceFlow FAQs
- Are Stanley IceFlows dishwasher safe? | Yes, though the lid should go in the top rack or utensil tray.
- Are Stanley IceFlows leak-proof? | Yes, IceFlow bottles are leak-proof. Just make sure the seals are correctly installed and the spout is completely closed when not in use.
- Are Stanley IceFlows worth it? | Yes, they are very good, reliable bottles. The main drawback is that they're more difficult to clean around the spout, but if you regularly use small brushes and cleaning tablets to clean it the best you can, then you should be OK.
- Are Stanley IceFlows safe to use? | Everything we've seen indicates that Stanley bottles are safe to use. They are made of food-grade stainless steel and food-safe plastic for the lids and straws.
- Are Stanley IceFlows BPA-free? | Yes, Stanley bottles are made of stainless steel and food-safe plastic, both of which are BPA-free.
- Are Stanley IceFlows lead-free? | No, Stanley bottles use a lead-based solder to seal the vacuum. The solder is located on the bottom of the bottle, and it is only exposed and potentially dangerous if your bottle has extreme damage (and in that case you probably need a new bottle anyways).

Recommended Accessories
Bottle Brush Kit
Great for your regular cleaning every 2-4 days.
This kit includes a large brush to clean in the bottle, a detailing brush to clean the threads and lid, a straw cleaner, and hangers so you can stay organized. |
Cleaning Tablets
Recommended to use these once per month.
In additional to regular weekly cleaning, deep-cleaning your bottle once per month is usually a good idea to prevent germs and buildup, especially around seals. |
Bottle Boot
Great for protecting your bottle.
Big bottles are expensive, heavy, and made of steel. That combination of factors often leads to dents on the bottom, but boots help significantly reduce damage. |
And Just for Fun (and Better Tasting Water)
Fruit Infuser
As a bonus, check out our FlavorFuze Pod drop-in fruit infuser to make your water fun! Skip the soda or flavor pods with artificial sweeteners (like Cirkul) and add healthy flavors with natural fruit each day. The pod is easy to remove when you're done thanks to a big handle on top, making for a healthy mid-day snack.
It comes with two lids. One is a splash-guard style lid that fits in wide mouth Hydro Flasks, and the other is a drop-in style lid that fits in nearly all wide mouth bottles (including Owala FreeSips, YETI Ramblers, Stanley Quenchers, Hydro Flasks, and many more). |
