Iron Flask Review
Overview
When Hydro Flask and similar insulated bottles exploded in popularity, it was natural to expect there would be more affordable options coming to market. Iron Flask quickly established itself as one of the most prominent alternatives on Amazon.
Frequently ranking near the top as one of the best-selling and most-reviewed bottles while still maintaining a 4.8 star rating is a true achievement, and the reason is primarily because of the value. When you buy an Iron Flask, you get three lids so you can change them out and decide which one is best for you. So instead of paying over $40 for a bottle only to realize you want a different lid that costs another $15, you pay about $25 to get everything from the start. |

Iron Flask FAQs
- Are Iron Flask bottles dishwasher safe? | No, Iron Flask recommends handwashing their bottles. See their FAQ here.
- Are Iron Flask bottles safe? | Yes, Iron Flask's bottles are made with food-grade stainless steel and plastics.
- Where are Iron Flask bottles made? | Iron Flask bottles are made in China.
- Are Iron Flask bottles worth it? | Yes, Iron Flask bottles are a great value alternative at a lower price point compared to premium brands.
- Are Iron Flasks BPA-free? | Yes, all Iron Flask products are made with BPA-free materials.
- Do Iron Flasks contain lead? | Yes, according to testing by Lead Safe Mama. See her article here. However, the lead is only used in the solder to seal the bottle, which is fairly standard across the water bottle industry at this time. Realistically, there is an extremely small probablility that you would ever have an issue with lead unless your bottle was severely damaged, and in that case you would likely need a new bottle anyways because the insulation is probably lost and the bottle would be very dented and wobbly.
- Do Iron Flask bottles fit in cupholders? | No, 32 and 40oz Iron Flasks are too wide to fit in the majority of cupholders. Consider getting an adapter like our BottlePro Max.
