Notes from the Road - Week 8

Happy Labor Day! Hopefully everyone has a good, relaxing holiday today. We've spent the last week around Columbia Falls, Montana, dipping in and out of Glacier National Park every few days. There's also been a good bit of rain, which means we've spent a little more time at the library than we'd planned. Luckily, the libraries around here are great places to hang out! We learned that there are several active wildfires around the area. It's fairly common for this time of year, and the smoke gives awesome color to the sunrise and sunsets.  Speaking of sunrise, we've done a lot more early morning hiking. We got up super early and drove to the Polebridge section of the park, arriving before...

Notes from the Road - Week 7

Last week we got a lot of work done, which meant a little bit less sightseeing than usual. It had to happen sometime, right? We did manage to make it to Seattle for just a few hours (most of them spent sitting in traffic for a Seahawks game that we didn't know was going on). We checked out the Space Needle, then went to dinner with an old friend of Mike's. On Friday, we started booking it towards Glacier National Park. We drove for two days, but managed to stop at a few overlooks along the way. The photo above was taken at North Cascades National Park - definitely something we want to return to. Our current campsite is in...

We started out the week at Morgan Lake outside of La Grande, Oregon. It’s a free recreation site and allows camping for up to 7 days. Our campsite was just 30 feet from the lake, so it afforded us some incredible views during our stay. There was also a nice little hiking trail that went all the way around the lake, which we all managed to walk every day while we were there. From Morgan Lake, we set...

Notes From the Road

You might have heard that Bottle Pro is hitting the road for three months. By popular demand from friends and family, here are some snapshots of where we’ve been! We hit the road in our RV at 5 pm on a Saturday – a little later than we’d hoped – and went to our first set of campsites around Twin Falls, Idaho. It was there that we discovered a crack in our black water tank. That’s the tank that holds everything that gets flushed down the toilet until you can get back to civilization. Luckily, we hadn’t used the toilet when we discovered the leak, so it was nearly as crappy a situation as it could have been.   With...
